Summer job at Suomi Teline

I worked at Suomi Teline in the summer of 2020. Due to COVID-19, the majority of youth lost their summer jobs, but Suomi Teline was able to keep their word to all their coming summer employees. Summer employment is very important to young people because normally the biggest motivation for working is the pay-check. Money earned from working a summer job makes it possible for young people not to be completely dependent on their parents. The feeling of freedom that follows this is very enticing. I mean, it would be nice to be able to take your mother out for coffee sometimes and not the other way around.

Another very important aspect about having a summer job is the work experience. Experience is of great benefit when applying for your next job. Even more beneficial may be the insight it can give when it comes to career choices and what you may or may not want to do for the rest of your life. Working at Suomi Teline is very versatile, and for this reason it was a great choice for a summer job. Tasks included everything from cleaning toilets to sorting scaffolding and from doing the laundry to painting!

It was a pleasure working at Suomi Teline because the atmosphere was relaxed and fun, and the other employees are wonderful! I have to admit that working with scaffolding is physically challenging but with the right attitude and state of mind it is quite doable. Besides, who doesn’t want a bit of extra muscle and a nice tan as a bonus?

If you want a summer job at Suomi Teline, you should be diligent, hardworking and someone who enjoys being outside. Working at Suomi Teline does not effect your evening plans, as work starts pretty early, leaving afternoons free for other activities. I speak with two summers worth of experience working for Suomi Teline when I say that I highly recommend it.
