As its con­struc­tion sites and cus­tomer base are con­cen­trat­ed in the cap­i­tal region, Suo­mi Teline decid­ed to fol­low suit and move to Van­taa, close to Ring Road III. “The new loca­tion means con­ve­nience and bet­ter ser­vice for cus­tomers, as we are clos­er to the con­struc­tion sites,” says CEO Peter Korho­nen.

Peter Korho­nen, CEO of Suo­mi Teline, a com­pa­ny spe­cial­iz­ing in the sale, rental, and con­tract­ing of scaffolding, says he has been think­ing for a long time about how to bet­ter serve cus­tomers dur­ing chal­leng­ing times that the indus­try faces. Togeth­er with the team, an idea was born: the com­pa­ny must oper­ate and serve cus­tomers clos­er to them and their needs.

There­fore, Suo­mi Teline is relo­cat­ing, and its mate­ri­als ware­house and com­pa­ny admin­is­tra­tion will move to Van­taa. Locat­ed along Lahti High­way near Ring III, con­struc­tion sites in the cap­i­tal region are clos­er than ever and we are eas­i­ly acces­si­ble.

“Over the years, the focus of our con­tract­ing and oth­er activ­i­ties has shift­ed to the cap­i­tal region. Ring III is a logis­ti­cal­ly impor­tant route, as our cus­tomers know. We decid­ed to move our oper­a­tions next to it to make every­thing eas­i­er and faster for our cus­tomers,” says Peter.

Suo­mi Teline’s mate­r­i­al ware­house is locat­ed at Pavin­tie 12. Truck traf­fic to the ware­house goes via Pavin­tie, which leads direct­ly to the yard.  The com­pa­ny’s admin­is­tra­tion is locat­ed in the Aikakeskus build­ing, which is right next to the ware­house, at Koulu­tie 11. Cus­tomers pick­ing up mate­ri­als should note that they do not need to dri­ve to two sep­a­rate loca­tions.

“All paper­work and oth­er mat­ters relat­ed to pick­ing up and return­ing mate­ri­als are han­dled at the Pavin­tie ware­house. Only the admin­is­tra­tion will move to near­by Koulu­tie, where tasks such as con­tract nego­ti­a­tions and oth­er sim­i­lar mat­ters will be han­dled.

The mate­ri­als ware­house is open on week­days from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and, by agree­ment, until 11 p.m. with a max­i­mum response time of 30 min­utes, often even faster.

“Evening pick­up can be orga­nized in less than half an hour. Of course, we make this promise with a slight reser­va­tion, mean­ing that in rare cas­es, we may not be able to get there. But for the most part, we are always hap­py to load or unload goods in the evenings as well, when the cus­tomer needs us to.

The sales ware­house for ALFIX prod­ucts is also open on week­days from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and by appoint­ment in the evenings and on week­ends. The response time for this ser­vice is also a max­i­mum of 30 min­utes.

In addi­tion to Suo­mi Teline focus­ing more close­ly on oper­at­ing in the Helsin­ki met­ro­pol­i­tan area, anoth­er new devel­op­ment is Peter’s changed role. The CEO is increas­ing­ly get­ting out into the field – vis­it­ing cus­tomers, con­struc­tion sites, and mate­r­i­al ware­hous­es.

“We respond to our cus­tomers’ wish­es in every way pos­si­ble. Our excel­lent logis­ti­cal loca­tion speeds up and stream­lines our ser­vice, and we hope that every­thing is now eas­i­er for our cus­tomers. This is the kind of added val­ue we are known for,” says Peter.
